Special field: sanitary-, heating engineering and air-conditioning technology (SHK)
In the vocational school, apprentices will be trained in three and a half years to become systems mechanic for sanitary-, heating engineering and air-conditioning technology.
Training subjects focus on the following:
Nice and comfortable bathrooms, modern kitchens, house installations and public utility use with the latest eco-friendly water supply or high-tech armatures – the systems mechanic for SHK plans, builds and services all of these. In addition they look after the reasonable use of solar power and rainwater. They also have to give their clients advice. They have to read plans, service plants, know the current control systems as well as laws.
There is also an existing school partnership, supported by the EU, with a vocational school in South France. In cooperation with the guild for sanitary-, heating engineering and air-conditioning technology Bergstraße a student exchange can be carried out as a three-week vocational internship.
