Contents/ learning areas:
The duration of training is of three years in all occupations and is carried out in dual system, which means that the vocational school and the training company train and accompany apprentices up to the final exam. A shortening of the training to 2 or 2.5 years is possible if an apprenticeship is finished previously or with the advanced technical college entrance qualification or with the general qualification for university entrance. With an additional exam at the end of the apprenticeship you can achieve a superior degree, if in the final certificate of the vocational school the overall grade is at least 3.0 or better. Together with the training you can participate in a course for the acquirement of the middle degree or advanced technical college entrance qualification.
In the theoretical classes, we mainly focus on:
- Raw material lessons
- Nutrition science
- Food technology
- Subject calculating
General education lessons are German, religion, politics and economy and partly physical education.
Next to the theoretical lessons our school offers also the subject practical lessons to visualize the learned content better. For this a modern equipped bakery for the production of bakery products, a complete equipped sausage kitchen and a modern furnished sales room with diverse show cases and a counter for the sales training are available.
