German university entrance diploma ("Abitur") plus a vocational qualification
The vocational grammar school, as well as the upper grammar school, is an educational background which qualifies for higher education and studies. The goal is the German university entrance diploma (“Abitur”) which authorizes – regardless of the chosen field of the vocational grammar school – to study in all faculties at all universities. Next to the general education, students will gain a practice- oriented qualification which companies often appreciate.
For the Vocational Grammar School, you can choose either Mechatronics or Environmental Studies.
These fields are taught in cooperation with the Karl Kuebel Vocational School in Bensheim.
Requirements
Students with a GCSE can be accepted in that sector of vocational grammar school which will be classified as suitable by their school.
The GCSE can be proven with a leaving certificate of a secondary school, a two-year vocational school or with an equally recognized certificate of a comprehensive school.
Students who have been moved up to upper grammar school can be accepted as well.
