In vocational schools the vocational subjects are the central elements of what classes offer. The aim of the educational work in the vocational schools is not only the professional competency, but also the ability to participate and cooperate in social, political and economic matters of any kind.
Due to that, in all school types of the vocational schools general education subjects are offered next to the vocational subjects and with that, the contents of general education are continued and deepened. Contents are oriented on what kind of degree the classes aspire to respectively.
In the study qualifying curricula, the vocational upper secondary school and the vocational grammar school, general education comprises two-thirds of the whole class, in the vocational school of dual apprenticeship about one-third.
